NEC Scheme

North Eastern Council, Shillong vide letter No. NEC/ST/IT.EDN.MEGH/506/2009 dated 7^th August, 2009 has accorded administrative approval for “IT Education Programme for Schools in Meghalaya for the year 2009-10” for an amount of Rs. 1,16,54,695/- (Rupees one crore sixteen lakhs fiftyfour thousand six hundred ninetyfive) only and also sanctioned Rs. 50,00,000/- (Rupees fifty lakhs) for implementation of the scheme in 25 (twentyfive) schools in Meghalaya. Each selected school will receive the following computing infrastructure :-

3. St. Francis Desales School, Bakur, Dawki
4. KJP Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong
5. MeSEB School, Kyrdem
6. St. Paul’s Seminary, Upper Shillong
7. St. Dominic Higher Secondary School, Mawkyndeng
8. Langtor Higher Secondary School, Mairang
9. Laban Bengalee Boy’s Higher Secondary School, Laban
10. Arya Kanya Vidyalaya Secondary School, Laitumkhrah
11. Umpling Girls’ Secondary School, Rynjah
12. St. Dominic Savio School, Garobadha
13. Don Bosco Secondary School, Tikrikilla
14. Hill View Secondary School, Araimile, Tura
15. Nongrah Presbyterian Secondary School, Shillong
16. St. Xavier’s High School, Tura

Out of the above 25 selected schools, computing infrastructure has been provided to 11(eleven) schools only (Sl. 1 – 11) during the 1^st Phase and the remaining 14 schools (Sl. 12 – 25) will be provided in the 2^nd Phase.
